Statement
My artistic practice arises from the discomfort caused by the automatic gestures of daily life that silence our desires. Imagine receiving a package: we open the box, take out its contents, and discard the box without a second thought. Such functional gestures destroy potential conversations.
I strive to exercise the "in-betweens" of micro-moments, amplifying ideas through conversations with other people. A reused box can rescue affective memories through interactions with people in public squares serve as a surface for adults in the learning process, or be the starting point for children to play with shapes.
Books and other ordinary objects, such as used cans and papers, become ludic elements that deserve to be democratically shared. I am a proponent of simple language through the appropriation of public spaces and co-creative practices. I find nourishment in literature and consider writing and collage important means of expression to sustain conversations.
